Brining down the hammer seems like a recipe for a rusty hammer.
I give it 6 weeks before it falls apart.
Not sure why Omicron wants rusty hammers, but whatevs.

Been a shit fall.
Went on a mini-vacation in North Idaho. My hot springs. Severely sprained my ankle walking out on day 3. That ended the vacation.
Got close enough to civilization to call my wife when I found she had COVID. From the asymptotic grandkids.
Get home and, of course, I contracted it within a week. We were both out about 6 1/2 months from our original vax. She got monoclonal antibodies. I didn’t. Nobody hospitalized.
Now we’re both boostered. We’ll see what the doc has on the murmur.

Omicron is not very dangerous.
What it is is an excuse for why all the vaccinations and boosters don't work and Covid infections are spiking.

I am not panicking. I'm celebrating. We're going to lock you stupid fucks down. I can't wait. Me? Heading for Universal this week, Minnesota for the holidays. And I'm retired and rich. So while you saps suffer from your self imposed and entirely avoidable lockdowns and financial difficulties, I'll be on a beach, collecting 10%.

It may or may not be "very dangerous." My concern is for people still working. Not many can afford to be off work for 2-3 weeks w/o pay if they should get it. Even if you're no more sick than with a cold, most employers won't let you return till 10-14 days have passed.
