I strongly disagree with the OP's premise if I'm undertanding it correctly.
The polarization in America is palpable, undeniable, and unfixable.
I don't understand how any sentient human could avoid seeing it even if trying to do so.
I'm not in any way like the Reichtards on JPP.
I view them as devolved, sub-human mutants, and attribute absolutely no value to their lives.
I am highly suspect of anyone who doesn't see it the exact same way because it couldn't be more obvious.

There definitely is a Right and a Left.
As for common beliefs, the intellectully elite don't have "common beliefs."
