I believe it may, but it would be a travesty. It quite literally destabilizes the checks and balance system we have in place. The current administration would basically change the face of the court to match its political views disregarding any meaningful check on its power. This is how fascism begins, with the support of a major political party.

However appointing one justice to replace one that died following the procedure allowed in the constitution? No. He did not.

We will find out if your pResident makes political appointments to make it reflect his own political image. Once that is done there will be no going back, it will be a simple political tool, no more checks and balance, only another arm of the Executive. I do not believe he will "add seats" in order to make it reflect his political image because I believe that there would be backlash and his handlers know it.

I knew you were not intelligent enough to grasp the concept of "packing the courts". When your gawds declared that Garland cold not be appointed by Obama due to the "lack of time", and "wait until the election is over", they violated the Constitution. And when your gawd trump appointed those who's ideology was the same as his he showed what you said was his "fascism", "This is how fascism begins, with the support of a major political party.", and then this little gem: "We will find out if your pResident makes political appointments to make it reflect his own political image."

RepubliCONs have no concept of abiding by their oaths to defend the U.S. Constitution but engage in a war effort against Democracy and the Constitutional rights of society at doing all they can to wage war against U.S. Constitutional law too, especially when it comes to the right to vote. Also, the right to privacy is not mentioned in the U.S. Constitution but SCOTUS stated that several amendments created that right.
