I’m no Biblical scholar but I believe the reference to “judge not”...refers to judgement at the Pearly Gates. I could be wrong.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
This is not about any 'pearly gate'. This is about judgement in general.
If you do not judge at all, you need not be judged. You are like a child, and accepted by God through Christ.
If you do judge, judge fairly, for you shall be judged the same way by God. If you judge unfairly, you will be judged the same way by God.
Note the third through fifth verses, detailing this unfair form of judgement. It is through pride that unfair judgement comes.
We all judge. We are expected to learn to judge fairly, humbly, and rarely. Only a little child has never judged.
