Good and no matter how tiny it is, Barbados is no longer part of the British monarchy but will remain part of the commonwealth realm as the newest world republic as Dame Sandra Mason was sown in as its president. Also, Barbados did not need permission from the UK to become a republic either.

Has not been for a long time.

You seem to have trouble telling reality from your fantasies.

You are a zealous little miscreant at getting things screwed up in your zealous attack on my own opinion. In terms of a monarchy, consider the following and stop being a zealous simpleton too:

The island known as “Little England,” which gained independence on Nov. 30, 1966 but kept Queen Elizabeth II as head of state, will be fully sovereign as of 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. It is ditching the British monarch and joining Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Dominica in becoming a republic.

Indeed. It's illuminating to watch American leftists simultaneously diss the monarchy and worship at the feet of gold-digging Meghan and woke Harry.

Barbados and it's sugar cane cultivation was ground zero for Britain's introduction of African chattel slavery into the western hemisphere.

I presume the current residents of Barbados have little reason to have warm fuzzy feelings towards the colonial past in the way Canadians/Aussies do.

Anyway, I will never forget the wonderful cruise port of entry I had at Barbados, and the wonderful experience of enjoying its country side and the wonderful experience I had with the culture and citizens of Barbados. The great and fabulous quiet and welcoming resorts and beaches of Barbados were something to behold too. Also, this great lady driver I had and who I will never forget and that I paid well made sure I had a pleasant time by the beach of Barbados and ensured I made it back to the cruise ship safely. I love the memory of this gracious lady who took care of myself and I love Barbados!

    .
China wants to expand its empire to the Caribbean, the Bajans should be very wary of the Yellow Peril.

China trying to become a 'new colonial power' with Barbados power grab

TORY MP Damian Green stressed that China could use its wealth to become the world's new colonial power after Barbados became a republic.

The people weren't consulted! The decision was taken without having a referendum. You can be damn sure that the Chinese had a big hand in influencing the decision behind the scenes.

The place was a drain on HM Treasury anyway, like Scotland and Wales.
