Not really political but it sort of is in that there is crazy inflation in college football spending/salaries with coaches going on right now. You have rich donors who are willing to write some really large checks.

Archives - you said a lot about 'SC not having money. Although the figures haven't been publicly released pretty sure this is in the 8 figure a year range. 'SC is like number five or six in rankings for the most billionaires (undergrad alum). The money is there.
