In years past, I've always had those friends who were going to be standing outside Target or Wal-Mart at 0-Dark Thirty so they could be among the first to get their Christmas shopping started. This year, not a single person I know has said anything about doing it. Even the ones who've always done it in the past are taking a pass on it this year.

I bought a new laptop two weeks ago from Best Buy's "Black Friday" sale.....

every Thanksgiving my wife asks me to get a newspaper with all the Black Friday ads so she can enjoy looking at it while I watch the Lions lose.......yesterday the paper cost me $7.99 and it was so thin that it only took her fifteen minutes to go through.....I think Black Friday is a thing of the past.....

In the past I played the wait outside game. Most of the time ... I was too far back so I gave it up. Not at all interested in black friday, however, I am not adverse to watching for a good deal.

Tday was like any other ... the kids and gkids are in Wisconsin and Florida ... about a thousand miles either way ... and I'm too old and tired to make the trip.

If I see any good deals online, I'll let you know...I did post a dog food deal from Amazon...Karma...50% off...
We cook big every year....and invite those who were too old (or young) and too tired to travel...they can drop by untll Sunday to grab some turkey, etc....
We just video chat with the out of town relatives....

My granddaughter is being dropped off at the Mall to go shopping all day. She's like 13. She's suppose to call me around noon to go get her, collect all her packages, go eat with her and her Mom, then, give her some money so she can keep buying crap for the rest of the day.
