As I have stated, it's temporary. Reducing emissions is long term goal.

And to do that demand must be reduced. Reducing supply doesn’t reduce demand , it only increases the price which will of course reduce demand. Marginal utility.

The left is more self-aware of its dishonesty today. For example, in the 70s & 80s, leftist policies led to the explosion of crime, and they were actually appalled by the results, causing them to look for solutions. Today, they look for appalling crime results, and then set their policies accordingly.

The left adopted a postmodern view of morality and truth in an earlier part of this age, believing it could have objectivity and empiricism (its cake) alongside relativity and gnosticism (the eating of said cake). It has finally realized that this is all impossible, and so it knowingly opposes truth and objectivity in the pursuit of chaos because it wants to destroy western civilization.
