Default Corporations are gouging because Americans are not pushing back

U.S. Companies Bet Shoppers Will Keep Paying Higher Prices
P&G, Nestlé, Chipotle say price increases haven’t turned customers away, and they expect that to continue even as inflationary pressures mount

Some of the world’s biggest companies are betting consumers will keep paying more for products from coffee to toilet paper.

Corporate giants including Procter & Gamble Co. , Nestlé SA and Verizon Communications Inc. say they plan to continue raising prices or pushing customers to buy more expensive products into 2022 to offset fast-growing costs amid a global supply-chain crisis. Gillette razors, Nestlé coffee and Chipotle burritos are among the products that could get more expensive in coming months.

“We have not seen any material reaction from consumers,” P&> finance chief Andre Schulten said last week, referring to a string of price increases that went into effect in September. “So that makes us feel good about our relative position.”

Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

Supply and demand will eventually catch up, at higher prices, demand will at some point decrease, and when supply catches up, an equilibrium price will be established. Problem now is supply is low, and with all the money out there, we have demand push inflation

Although the major companies are a plutocracy, and have major control over price, there will always be an substitute to bring consumers less expensive alternatives

Stop your whining. The only reason we are in deep shit is because of the idiot in the White House. Stop your bullshit and face reality, It is not the corporations or the China virus, it is the demented old man and his cabinet that could not put a two-piece jigsaw puzzle together.
Two years ago we were energy free and selling oil to other countries, now this asshat is begging OPEC to increase production. Before this is over you will be begging to get the likes of Trump back in office.
Hang on because it is dummies ltke you that will feel the brunt of Biden's continual fuckups. The rest of us have planned well in advance.

Prices are controlled by the oligopoly that we allowed to be created. There is almost no competition. Few companies control enormous markets.

The two companies who manufacture diapers just agreed to simultaneously raise the price of the product. Diapers are one of the most expensive items on the shelf and people are a-holes if they are able to use cloth diapers and choose not to.

Do you have any fucking concept as to what happens when fuel prices are up over 50%.

winter heating cost increases have not yet begun their influence on this. Thats a big ticket item and will alter the paradigm.

Biden has no policies that elevated prices. The demand dropped very low during the Trump virus. Many oil companies shut down some operations and dropped thousands of workers. You do not fix that overnight. It will take time.

    Nordberg,

Keystone pipeline comes to mind and canceling access to drilling for starters. If sleepy joe did nothing why have fuel prices gone through the roof. I know, let's blame the China virus.

Please go away and don't come back until you have spent one minute away from the leftie media.

And yet another lie the fools wish others with more intelligence would just bend over and accept as they have. And when you bend over like that in front of a pervert like trump you know you will get it up the ass. Some like it that way.

But tell us ass licker, what one element that has caused this current economic crisis is the result of what action by Biden, or the Democrats? The budget is the one set by your masters. The Afghan fiasco was set by your gawd. The rise in the price of oil was set by OPEC, nothing Biden did since we still export more oil then we import. The OTR driver shortage was there 5 years ago. The drought is nothing new. The pandemic was ignored by your kind.

Actually cite some real numbers, not just the fantasies, and lies, you snowflakes like to conjure up.

And from such people turn away"

After the stealing of many trillions of dollars from the kids/grandkids/unborn...a crime for which we will be deeply hated.
The bottom line is that conservatives cant admit to themselves the Evil they have allowed to romp on their watch.

    This is going to hurt.
