What I propose is "fair and legal." It would point out that the plaintiffs are selectively suing the defendants when it was groups they are politically aligned with that initiated the violence. That's how I'd frame it. This isn't about justice or making the plaintiff's whole. It's about punishing their political enemies... That puts the plaintiff's on the defense.
