    Default Americans and ‘Cancel Culture’

Multiple surveys on where Americans are on the idea of "cancel culture". Since this is purely political, there's also the consideration of "who really benefits from the controversy?"

Americans and ‘Cancel Culture’: Where Some See Calls for Accountability, Others See Censorship, Punishment
While discussions around cancel culture can be highly partisan, Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents are no more likely than Republicans and GOP-leaning independents to say they have heard at least a fair amount about the phrase (46% vs. 44%). (All references to Democrats and Republicans in this analysis include independents who lean to each party.)

When accounting for ideology, liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans are more likely to have heard at least a fair amount about cancel culture than their more moderate counterparts within each party. Liberal Democrats stand out as most likely to be familiar with the term.

Answering a surveyor's question, people will say they "heard about" the subject so as to appear reasonably informed, but if asked to say what they thought about the subject it often will become clear they don't know the first thing about it. I would be surprised if more than ten percent of American adults could even tell you what "Cancel Culture" is without a fortunate blind guess.

cancelling history is designed to divide us by race, age, religion, politics, geography, and sex. It is a tactic used by socialists and nazis throughout history. Divide and conquer is an ancient tactic and it works.

If we are to save our country as a constitutional republic we must unite and fight this, and we must do it now before its too late and we are eating pets and zoo animals like the people of Venezuela.

Who would you say is more prone to "cancelling history" than people who care so little about it they never read it and therefore know little of it? In other words, the ignorant legions of Trump world.

I'm sure they could say it's about LW terrorists ripping down and vandalizing public property.

To me it's more of an age/generational thing. For example there are older people who aren't familiar with the term woke. Yet for younger people that term has been a part of their daily lexicon for years. Same with cancel culture. If you're older my guess is you are far less familiar with than the younger people who are involved in the daily 'culture battles' if you will.

The fact that President Obama (post office) addressed cancel culture shows that it's a real thing.

Maybe the younger generation should learn there's nothing new under the Sun. LOL

No doubt the older generation is familiar with the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, the Civil Rights Act and the assassination of Martin Luther King. It was in all the newspapers so I doubt they never heard of it. Being "woke" is simply a new buzzword for civil inequalities in our society.

Some use the word "woke" to assign blame or to hold those they think are responsible accountable for the status quo. A spin on "you're either with us or against us".

It used to be the Liberals who were big on revising history, now it's the Trumpers. Just more proof none of them are conservatives.

Lets look at the present a little too. These Democrat run cities are REALLY big on refined culture, so easy to see too. Worse yet,.......they will continue doing what they do. No doubt about it. Nothing will change except things will only plunge lower into the depths of depravity. I actually stumbled onto this series of video's on youtube by accident. IMO they are horrifying. What Human beings can become over time. Scenes straight up out of a horror movie. There are at least a couple dozen of these available. No commentary, only video. Great job Dems,....easy to see how refined and cultured you are.

THIS is what needs to be CANCELLED!
