She has her Master's in Early Childhood Development. This has been her passion. Therefore she knows that children are very diverse and have diverse needs. Thus the idea of a mandate for something new is not something she automatically is inclined to say "great" too without a lot further research and information.

Again, nothing personal I view I suppose, but questionable considering the medical community recommends the vaccines, interesting how the people most run to when they want answers of what ails them is now being questioned and doubted when they provide their recommendation

She and I only had one discussion about this. I brought it up when I saw the mandate for children was proposed and that kids who don't get vaccinated would be forced to stay home. She wanted to talk to her medical friends first because she had questions and as mentioned before she's very protective of kids and in Marin County where her school is she's had to deal with anti-vax parents before. She doesn't want those kids punished for the actions of their parents.

She's not an elected California official so her opinion doesn't mean much. She and I both believe people should get vaccinated. But knowing her I respect why she concerns over the mandate for kids (she's not a real political person, she's not coming from a right or left wing perspective - she wouldn't survive a day on this board).

Her school wasn't a big football school so I converted 100% to being a Trojan. She's a Cowboys fan however so I don't hold her football knowledge in high esteem.

prior to covid no one would have compared a flu shot with a vaccine for smallpox......covid will always be in the category of flu.....at best, it will become part of the annual routine for those in high risk categories......
