Default House to vote on contempt charges against Bannon

“The Select Committee believes that this willful refusal to comply with the Subpoena constitutes a violation of federal law,” Committee Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.) wrote in a previously undisclosed letter sent Friday to Bannon’s lawyer, Robert Costello.

The emphatic tone of the letter and legal arguments it lays out underscore the committee’s desire to move quickly and aggressively to combat any attempts to slow down or scuttle its investigation. The panel is scheduled to meet Tuesday evening to vote on the contempt charge against Bannon, which it is expected to approve, and it is possible the vote could be taken up by the full House as early as this week. The matter would then go to the Justice Department.

And from there Bannon will start the legal games postponing, delaying, or appealing everything hoping to get to next year with the realistic hope the GOP wins back the House and little jimmy jordan quickly ends all investigations

Should learn from the New York cases against Trump, probably the only solid cases against Trump, they've been at it for over two year now and really haven't even gotten to a trial position yet

Not right wing, realistic, I wished I was wrong, but the history of the last six years proves it. How many times have you seen "we got 'em now" aspirations fade into oblivion, truth, litigating the hell out of anything is a Trump trademark which has been adopted by his surrogates, and it works

Trump was impeached twice. Really don't understand your perspective.

Not quite the same, impeachment wasn't a legal matter, wasn't resolved in a Court of Law, but in the end, even that, what did it all matter, he nearly won his reelection

Got it. We should do nothing. Good advice.
