Are Mask Mandates Tyranny?
I saw a guy in a pick up truck the other day who had some kind of weird decal on the back window of his truck. It had a ring of stars around a skull-like figure, with some writing around the perimeter inside the circle of stars. All in white. I wasn't close enough to read it all but I thought I caught the words "against tyranny."
Tyranny.
Is that was the right thinks?
Does the Trump party think mask mandates or vaccine mandates are 'tyranny?'
Seems kind of ridiculous to me.
If that's what somebody thinks, they have no idea what tyranny is.
Health safety mandates are for the good of society.
And in case anyone has forgotten, we all live together in a society.
When it comes to public health we have to look out for one another and do things we may not like, but we do them for the good of society.
And if some would not wish to go along of their own free will then society has every right to force them to do what is in the interest of public health.
Despite what's going on in their head, it's not like we live in a vacuum.

Using their logic, seatbelts mandate is a tyranny.
Making them wear shoes and shirts in restaurants and stores = tyranny.
Wearing hard hats at a construction site = tyranny.
Following traffic laws = tyranny.

Much of what they accuse Democrats of, they are guilty of themselves.
We hear the extremists of the right claiming that Biden = fascism, yet what they are moving us towards is exactly that.
They are afraid of tyranny, yet they gladly forfeit full control to one madman.
