I've had Covid, I didn't die. I might die sometime, but probably not from that.
I see. So nobody ever had the flu again after they got it?

Not me, no. Nor any of us that had it back then. Pretty sure it was the "Superflu".

I don't believe you. I am certain you had the flu several times when you were a kid.

No, I had it once when I was 15...and then when I was like..27 my mom got it so I took care of her for 2 days..and that got tedious.. so on day 3 I decided to drink some beer and started feeling flu-ish, but overcame that within 1 day.
    Alcohol paralyzes your immune system.

It wasn't just me, either. It was more than half the family around me that got it, all violently ill and sitting on the toilet while puking in the bathtub. Jockeying for bathroom position.

Schoolmates got measles and the mumps all the time when I was a kid.

You forgot Chicken Pox, motherfucker! They got that more than anything.
Good for you and your fellow pukers. Except the vaccine never gave you the flu. More likely, your mom’s shitty cooking. As, I said, the claim of ignorant people. Especially those claiming some “octivalent flu”, whatever that is.

Measles and mumps “all the time”? Unless, you’re in your in your 60s or so, that’s either bullshit or they were unvaccinated.

MMR vaccine wasn’t out until about 1970. Chicken pox in the 90s.

I guess you and your family don't get out much.

Well when you're caring for a sick loved one, no you don't go out much while doing so. If you don't understand that, I can't help you.

In those days? I'd go to clubs packed with 100s of people. Rave days. My family may not have, but I did.

A recent study found that adults get the flu twice per decade on average, but children are infected once every other year on average.

The numbers add up, even if only 1.5%. There's also lost work due to illness and long COVID which can keep them home and unemployed. This isn't just about politics. The nation is suffering from poor leadership and too many people are supporting that poor leadership.
It's not exactly "tried and true", now is it?

Oh I understand. I just think you are lying. That's all. If you don't understand that, I can't help you.

You probably don't remember having the flu when you were a child.

As I have said before, good luck and I hope it doesn't get worse for you with covid.

    That's nice, honey. I've had the flu 1 1/2X over 4 decades.
