China is nearing completion of it's space station. Initially, the US had blocked China from participation in the International Space Station so China built its own. Like the US, China has offered to allow other nations to participate, which they are...as long as you can speak Chinese.
Based on funding and plans, China will beat the US to the Moon and Mars.

The missions are meant to lay the foundation for a lunar research base and visits by astronauts, or taikonauts, as the Chinese call them, in the 2030s. So far, only the American Apollo programs have put people on the moon.
Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos, announced this spring that it would work with China on the construction of a lunar research station using its Luna spacecraft in coordination with coming Chang’e missions. The first Russia mission could launch as soon as October. Future missions between the two countries will aim to bring back lunar samples and land the first building blocks of the base by 2030...
...In addition to the possibility of a future crewed mission to Mars, China is planning a single, 10-year mission to collect a sample from an asteroid and pass by a comet. It has also proposed orbiters for Venus and Jupiter. In 2024, it plans to launch an orbiting telescope similar to the Hubble, which first launched in 1990.

The Chinese space program isn't copy of NASA; they are using modern tech and inventing new tech.

Why China's space program could overtake NASA
China has a good chance of becoming the dominant space power in the 21st century, and it's not just looking to copy NASA on the way to the top. Instead, the country is paying close attention to what innovative US companies like SpaceX are doing as well. To get ahead in space, communism is learning from capitalism...
...All the while, China is racing across a number of other fronts in space, from building an orbital space station to maturing anti-satellite capabilities in space to establishing a base on the moon.
As China advances in space, NASA has spent more than $20 billion building a large rocket, the Space Launch System, that could soon be obsolete. And flying this single-use rocket is so expensive that, in combination with its Artemis program, NASA could exceed its congressional funds by more than 43%.
NASA could also abandon the International Space Station in a few years. Meanwhile, China is training European astronauts and teaching them Chinese so that they might visit its large, modular space station. Some of these European astronauts may subsequently join the China-Russia lunar exploration effort.

China's new space station gets its first female astronaut
The first woman assigned to work on China's new space station will be aboard when the Shenzhou-13 spacecraft blasts off early Saturday local time, in what's set to be a landmark moment for female astronauts and the country's rapidly expanding space program.
Wang Yaping, 41, is part of a three-member team heading for the Tiangong -- or Heavenly Palace -- space station, where she is expected to become the first Chinese woman to conduct a spacewalk.
