Another characteristic of Fascists and other despots are they hire their families to help rule. That maintains control over other aspects of governance. Trump also fired the people he put in charge because they were competent and not sycophants. He put some of them in charge.
Trump was taking over the judicial with Barr. He was after the FBI. Jr said that was his first job in the second term.
Trump also controlled the press. He only talked to them when he was on his way to the chopper, so he could flee if it got uncomfortable. The sissy ended the press dinner because they tell jokes about the president, Fascists do not have a sense of humor, It is a deadly serious business.
Trump had the Supremes in his pocket too. He was going to get it all.

Yea, yea... Trump might have been moving towards fascism, but he had nothing on the Democrats who were already there and doing it...

how was trump moving towards fascism?

he was moving away from it, particularly the internationalist variant of it, globalism.

see my sig for internationalist fascism.

if a free marketeer doesn't believe in "trust busting" he's actually a fascist.

That has nothing to do with industry in America.

Fascism highly regulates all industry. You know, like in Russia and Venezuela?

fascism is the union of corporate and state power. period.

people here are trying to add things to the meaning so they can claim not to be fascist, such as nationalism v. globalism, or nepotism or not nepotism. that's all bullshit.

It was a throwaway comment to cede the point then demolish the argument. It puts Nordberg in a position where he can't easily refute my position.

    Is Trump a fascist?

Fascists employed expert liars like Goebbels, whereas Trump does his own. Hey, it's enough to fool a lot of dummies!

Also the Nazis never got a majority in a free election, whereas ... oh, right.

When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving a cross ...

    Maybe a bargain basement fascist.
