The leading candidate to be next mayor of Rome, Enrico Michetti, is in trouble for praising Hitler, saying “if a country slides into chaos, you need a strong man to restore order”. (How did that work out?)
He is heavily backed by the Brothers of Italy party, considered to be heirs of Italy’s fascist movement.
Mr Michetti is the candidate of the RIGHT.
I don’t know what to think! Is fascism left-wing as JPP righties tell us, or right-wing according to Italian fascists? And is War Peace, and Ignorance Strength?

This is an example of Fallacy of Composition using Circular Reasoning and Cherry Picking.
Fascism is definable by it's traits. Fascism has specific political positions and goals. Define these, then see if Michetti matches them. If not, then he's a Fascist in name only and not actually a fascist.

We should check in with the people who actually had skin in the game and had real life experience with fascism and communism.
George Orwell, who famously considered himself a democratic socialist, went to Spain with his lefty socialist buddies to fight Franco's rightwing fascists and their Nazi allies in the Spanish civil war

No, they do. I'll have to find a way to post my graph on this. It is three axis, economic, social, and political. The economic goes from barter (far right) to command (far left). Social goes from individual (far right) to group or society (far left). Political goes from anarchy (far right) to totalitarian / dictatorship (far left).
Far right governments don't exist. You can't really have a society based on anarchy, barter, and individuals doing whatever they want. Far left governments are command economies (the government controls the economy one way or another), the individual is irrelevant, and are totalitarian dictatorships.
It is consistent. It doesn't label governments by terms like "communist" or "democratic" but rather by clearly measurable things. This is how fascism ends up on the Left.
