Who got their feelings hurt? Silly. He might have made some people angry. He showed some truths about himself that make him unacceptable to the NFL. I dont see any evidence he hurt anyone's feelings.

Whoever read the emails. Are you not following? Ok. When did making people angry become a crime? Yes he did show some truth about himself so what? What effect did those truths have on his behavior?

It’s not a crime, Gruden is not being prosecuted. Since when does someone have to commit a crime to get fired?

Shouldn't there be a good reason for getting fired? And you think offending someone is a good enough reason to fire people?

I think if your job requirements include leading a diverse group, and you lose all creditability with a large group of those people, then there is a good reason to fire you.

I also think you should not need a good reason to fire someone.

Did his beliefs reflected in those emails impact how he treated any of the people he was leading? It seems this had nothing to do with his actual performance just how people "feel" about him. And you see no problem with that?

Oh ok that's a good clear statement. Thank you. So if I fire a gay person for being gay that's cool because I don't need a good reason right?

If you fire someone for being gay you had a reason, and it was an illegal reason.

No reason is different from discriminatory reason.

Ok so when you said this:

"I also think you should not need a good reason to fire someone"

You didn't mean it. You think there needs to be a good reason to fire SOME people but not others. Again I ask if you see a problem with that?

False… The rule should be ‘You can fire someone for good reason, bad reason, but not discriminatory reasons.”

Gruden's job includes public relations and talking to people and reporters. He has shown himself a hater. The team had no choice but to remove him.

Then you're changing your position. You said you should not need a good reason to fire someone.

So I don't need a reason to fire them but if it's a bad reason then I can't fire them? How does that make sense? If I don't need a reason then any reason is valid. The right to do it must then be based on something other than the "quality" of the reason.

So if I fire a gay person and they ask why, I can say, no reason but if I say because you're gay that's a bad reason even though I don't need a reason to fire them.
