Have you ever noticed how there are no right wingers in any of these forums that can intelligently debate a topic, any topic, and do so honestly using real facts, ethics, or anything resembling the truth? Not one.

But that is a reflection of their gawd trump who has been proven to be a liar on over 30,000 occasions in the past 5 years. Then you have the words, and actions, of their lords and masters like McConnell, McCarthy, Cruz, Gaetz, etc. And you are right in claiming that there is never an original thought posted by them, just the wishful thinking a a foolish child trying to please his master.

So, the question is why do we continue to give them the attention they do not deserve especially that of their chief gawd trump, and his consistent lying? Are their lies really such a threat to the lives of decent people? Or are the American people really so dumb that they need to be reminded of what truth looks like?

And from such people turn away"

One thing they do rely on is rigging the rules in the States they control to insure fewer people can exercise the right to vote. So far all that has done is encourage others to vote, and then they lose. Mary Trump wrote an excellent article abut her uncle Donald, and there was one part I found to be even more exceptional. I don't expect the low IQ right winger to read it, however, for the intelligent people it is still a good read:

"It’s impossible to understand the appeal Donald has for his followers if we try to do so from the perspective of people who value honor, decency, empathy, and kindness in their leaders. It isn’t that they see things in Donald that aren’t there. They identify with what is—the brazenness of his lies, his ability to commit crimes with impunity, his bottomless sense of grievance, his monumental insecurity, his bullying, and, perhaps most intriguing, the fact that he is an inveterate failure who keeps being allowed to succeed. Donald is their proxy and their representative. And their ardor has only seemed to grow since his loss. We need only look at data from North Carolina Senate candidate Ted Budd’s campaign to see how complete this identification is. When Republican primary voters were told that Budd had been endorsed by Donald, there was a 45-point net swing in his favor, skyrocketing him to a 19-point lead over his primary opponent. The idea that any other one-term president (George H.W. Bush or Jimmy Carter) would have had the same kind of influence is laughable. On the other hand, though, neither one of them would have tried.

By the same token, elected Republicans, Donald’s chief enablers, see Donald as a means of perpetuating their own power. But they aren’t just putting up with the worst of him simply because they see him as a means to an end. He is them. They value his mendacity and his name-calling and his autocracy because these work for them as well.

Republicans counter truth with absurdity, rendering the truth inoperable. Now a party of fascists, they call Democrats socialist communist Marxists, which is effective in part because it is so nonsensical and in part because they are never asked to define the terms. They cover up their massive (and successful) efforts at voter suppression with wild claims of widespread voter fraud, which essentially doesn’t exist—31 incidents in over a billion votes cast, a number so vanishingly small as to have no meaning.

The main mechanism by which they can successfully carry out these sleights of hand is fear. Whether it’s drug dealers from Mexico or caravans from Central America or Democratic presidents coming for your guns, abolishing religion, or letting gay people get married, they need to keep their voters afraid.

Mr. Lockwood, the frame-narrator of Wuthering Heights, describes a feverish nightmare in which, during a blizzard, he sees a child outside his window begging to be let in. He is so undone by the appearance of this wraith that he drags its wrist across the broken pane of glass, until its blood soaks his bedsheets. “Terror made me cruel,” he says. Fear is a deeply unpleasant emotion, and Republicans have become expert at stoking it, on the one hand, and transforming it into anger on the other. This state of affairs makes it much easier for their followers to become comfortable with the cruelty of their leaders—whether of policy or of action—as long as it is directed at groups they’ve been told they should fear. It also makes it easier for the Republican rank and file to be comfortable with their own cruelty—it feels better than fear, and it allows them to delude themselves into thinking they have some measure of control, because they have been granted permission by the powers that be to express their cruelty with impunity."

I think it's less Trump and more Conservatism...it has always been a dungheap of failed, fascist ideas and racist policies going back to the establishment of the National Review and embrace of the John Birch Society (because embracing the Klan was too obvious).

    They've always been like this.,

And yes, I notice how none of them can intelligently debate any subject here...every time they are held to scrutiny, they wilt.

BTW, I would suggest you look up the term "projection" since it is obvious your don't understand it.

I place a poster on Ignore if they try to get personal, insulting or they mouth off at me. That threshold right there instantly rules out the entire right wing. There are some who are slightly right of center who are polite, but that is not what can be called the right wing. The wing is all the way out there, not near the center.

Why is it that those with right wing attitudes always seem to have to attack liberals personally?

Why can they not simply advocate for what they believe in based on the merit of their position?

The reason is, I presume, that their position has no merit. It's based on hatred and lies.

Tucker Carlson constantly tells viewers this or that is 'destroying America.'

Well, last time I checked, we still have a country. So Tucker is wrong. The nation has not been destroyed, no matter how many times he repeats his lies.

Really, it is hatred that is the biggest threat to America.

And a lot of it is fueled by Russian trolls on the internet and on social media.

Why should Russia bother to physically attack America when they can just bait people into so much hatred that Americans attack other Americans FOR Russia.

Hatred is so anti-America. It's just driving us apart and accomplishing nothing else.

All one has to do is look at who they made a "Golden Bust" to, and the answer is there. The cretin lives off hate, chaos, and lies. And in order to emulate their gawd they do the same. After all, he is their "stable genius".

It doesn't sound very genius-like to poison all rational debate with insults and hatred.

How is anything supposed to get solved without dialog and compromise?

It sounds like a recipe for bitter polarization, stress and dysfunctionality, not problem-solving.

First off, you sound as if you believe they are "normal", or even rational. Look at the responses to my queries by the likes of Matt Dillon, Hawkeye10, Sailor, or many others. Never any proof of what they say to be true, nor any proof of any kind. Like "The Donald" they feel that once they speak it into existence that is all that is required.

Next, it appears you believe that they seek rational dialogue, or compromise. Like their previous heroes, the likes of Hitler, they seek only power, and that is to be gained through chaos, hatred for others, discontent, and anger.

And they certainly are not interested in solving any problems, just creating more in order for them to have more power. Their constant call for a civil war (which they will lose just as they did in 1865) only serves to give them a false sense of pride, and "patriotism" , while following the lead of their gawds.

I gave this post a thanks even though it is incorrect in the first two assumptions. The thanks is for the third paragraph.

No, I do not consider them normal, well-adjusted, or capable of rational dialog. That is why they are all on my permanent Ignore List. I refuse to even talk to them. There is absolutely no point in even attempting to conduct a rational dialog with people whose all-consuming hatred prevents them from respecting themselves, much less anyone else.

They are certainly not interested in mutual problem-solving at all. They fantasize about getting revenge for the loss of the racists in the Civil War and I agree: If they managed to get another Civil War going they would lose again.

The problem for them is they fail to grasp that there are just not enough haters in this country to bring about what they fantasize over. Most people are really fairly well-adjusted in life and do not want to risk everything they have to try to tear the USA apart. Most Americans love America just the way it is, and only seek to solve problems and improve the country. Most people do not think we have to throw away everything we have in order to make it better.

So if anyone tries to start a race war or a red/blue civil war, they do not get enough support for that and become just another lone effort or small insignificant skirmish that appears on the news for a while, and then scrolls off into the past. Meanwhile, they destroy their own lives in the attempt. Either they die or they become a criminal and subject to the criminal justice system.

That's why Trump never did or advocated for anything physical. He just uses words. Sadly, those words are very powerful; and that power is being used in a very bad way.
