Default Kyrsten Sinema Holding Fundraisers With Groups Looking To Block Reconciliation Bill

Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., is scheduled to host a fundraiser Tuesday with five different lobbying groups opposed to President Biden's $3.5 trillion human infrastructure project.

The New York Times obtained an invitation that was sent to lobbying firms such as The National Association of Wholesale Distributors & Grocers PAC along with other lobbyists for roofers and electrical contractors, and a small business group called the S Corp political action committee. The invited members will attend the event Tuesday afternoon for 45 minutes where they will write checks between $1,000 and $5,800 payable to Sinema for Arizona, the Times reported.

    Reconciliation bill has:
    - child tax benefit
    - universal pre-k
    - paid family leave
    - paid medical leave
    - free community college
    - medicare expansion
    - housing
    - homecare
    - climate $
    - higher taxes on the rich
ALL popular. & a group of corrupt corporatists is trying to sink it!

WASHINGTON — Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, the inscrutable Democrat who may hold the key to passing her party’s ambitious social policy and climate bill, is scheduled to have a fund-raiser on Tuesday afternoon with five business lobbying groups, many of which fiercely oppose the bill.

Under Ms. Sinema’s political logo, the influential National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors and the grocers’ PAC, along with lobbyists for roofers and electrical contractors and a small business group called the S-Corp political action committee, have invited association members to an undisclosed location on Tuesday afternoon for 45 minutes to write checks for between $1,000 and $5,800, payable to Sinema for Arizona.

Not passing laws to make this illegal is inviting much more of the same.

Not surprising, both her and Manchin are up for reelection next year, and coming from conservative States, the last thing she wants to have to do is defend what the GOP will portray as a debt busting bill. Not a lot of profiles in courage in today's Congress, all about just about getting reelected

I posted an editorial by Paul Krugman criticizing the media for calling her a moderate.

81% of Americans support the policies in the bill so try again. She is likely on her way to a lobbyist career.

yet you idiots still continue to put them in office.............
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Sinema knows which side her bread is buttered on. Of course, she is. Unlike Arizona's other Senator, Sinema is really pretty sharp. She used to be a Progressive Leftist of the worst stripe then she grew up. I'd vote for her in a minute if she changed parties.

A digression on that: The ONLY reason (and I have e-mailed her on this, a rarity for me to do) I won't vote for her is the two-party system. The Democrats are the Progressive Left now and that means they are dangerous retards that will bring harm to me and mine. While the Republicans aren't exactly the sort I'd like in office, they aren't Leftists and they are the only other game in town. So, I put keeping a Democrat out of office ahead of voting for someone that has reasonable values and a decent voting record.
