I see the anti-vaxxer site that posts deaths of the anti-vax people on Twitter and there have been a lot of deaths of nurses lately, all of them under 50. It’s so unnecessary. I wish people would just get the vaccine. One guy left behind six children.

Only an ignorant asshole would make such a slur against National Guard troops!!!!! You do understand that the National Guard medical corps is filled with mostly people from the medical fields (doctors, nurses, EMT's etc.). And those who aren't receive the same training as Active duty Army medical personnel. Do you honestly believe that we send untrained troops to war? So what makes a civilian medico better than a highly trained GI medico?

Their body, their call. Then there’s the efficacy vs infection but that’s another issue.

The issue here is that this impending crisis was easily avoidable with something *as simple as* exemptions for natural immunity and weekly testing for those workers who declined the vax.

So we get one more self-inflicted crisis to add the list. And I feel sorry for the person who has to face the surgeon who asks ‘have you ever even seen this procedure done before?’ And I feel sorry for the patient.

I know them because I’ve worked with some so I know they have full time jobs *in hospitals*. So this ‘genius’ governor is going to cover worker shortages in some hospitals by creating them in others.

In the real world, these are skilled workers that have adapted to work *in a specific environment*. Take a nurse who has worked on the floor or even in critical care for ten years and plug them into an operating room and they are just slightly more prepared to be turned loose than someone off the street. That’s not an exaggeration. And it works both ways.

It also raises the question of where are they getting these National Guardsmen that have adequate training? They get their degrees and then go to laying around the house posting clips on Tik Tok while waiting to be called up? Doubtful. They’re ALREADY WORKING SOMEWHERE.

So it’s going to be a shell game. It’s stupid, it’s a slap in the face to millions of skilled workers and every bit of it was totally unnecessary.
