There are members of this forum -- I'm one of them -- who support banning certain firearms, specifically those military-style rifles capable of mowing down large numbers of people in a short period. They are useless for hunting and target shooting, and probably next to useless for home defense where a handgun or shotgun would be more efficient. They *were* illegal once upon a time.
