The only reports I am seeing are that the Arizona taxpayers in Maricopa county are having to pay $2.83 million to replace the voting machines that can no longer be certified because they were handled by persons who were not qualified or supervised by Federally approved contractors.

It seems I am not the one that needs to do the homework. Multiple reports by various news services in the last week all reported the same thing.

In the settlement, Maricopa County will not seek to recoup the $2.8 million cost of replacing election equipment that Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) said she will not re-certify on the advice of federal security officials since the equipment left the custody of county election officials.

So the county will end up paying the $2.8 million cost which means the taxpayers will pay it.

Republicans in the Arizona state Senate are officially off the hook for the $2.8 million needed to replace hundreds of voting machines ruined during the GOP-led, scandal-ridden “audit” of the 2020 election results in the state, the Arizona Republic reported.
