Actually repukes want to bankrupt the economy but at being too stupid to realize at violating U.S. Constitutional law at causing a default would also disastrously affect global economies too. There is no question that if we default on our debt it will be the fault of those who vote to not raise the debt ceiling. If republicans cause the default by not voting to raise it then it will be their fault, you can't blame the democrats if 100% of them vote to raise it. Makes no difference who is in control of congress.
