Taken directly from the platform resolution adopted by the RNC:
"WHEREAS, The RNC enthusiastically supports President Trump and continues to reject the policy positions of the Obama-Biden Administration, as well as those espoused by the Democratic National Committee today; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Republican Party has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda;
RESOLVED, That the 2020 Republican National Convention will adjourn without adopting a new platform until the 2024 Republican National Convention;
RESOLVED, That the 2020 Republican National Convention calls on the media to engage in accurate and unbiased reporting, especially as it relates to the strong support of the RNC for President Trump and his Administration; and
RESOLVED, That any motion to amend the 2016 Platform or to adopt a new platform, including any motion to suspend the procedures that will allow doing so, will be ruled out of order."
Let's sum up the position:
a) Whatever Trump wants and
b) whatever Biden doesn't.
It must be awesome to support a party that believes in nothing.

How many Democrats were on board and supporting Trump when he offered his infrastructure package?
Now it is possible for nuance and for a Democrat to say they support spending on infrastructure but didn't like the way Trump structured it. Same for Republicans and Biden. But it's not like lack of principle or political expediency is unique to Republicans.

Trump and Dems had talks around a 2 trillion dollar package. The House passed a 1.7 trillion dollar package.... it never saw the light of day in the Senate. There are not two sides to this discussion. This is 100% on Republicans and Trump. Republicans have two positions.
1. We love Donald Trump
2. We hate Joe Biden
That's it.

The definition of "infrastructure" is not the same for both parties. Somehow the democrat party wants to incluse a lot of free giveaways to people that have nothing to do with actual physical construction.
Everything Is “Infrastructure” According To Democrats

No Republican is going to support the three and half trillion dollar package regardless of what is in it, hell, they can't even get all Democrats to support it
Democrats in the House are blowing their opportunity to pass a solid infrastructure bill, the Senate has already sent them a near trillion dollar parcage which they won't pass unless the larger bill is passed at the same time. The Democrat Party is becoming a duplicate of the GOP, good at attacking who is ever in office, but disappointing when it comes their turn to actual govern, didn't used to be that way

Democrats have complained for the longest time that Republicans won't invest in infrastructure. This is well before Trump was in office. It's not like this is new. Republicans show a modicum of fiscal responsibility when a Democrat is President and almost none when its a Republican.
But if we're going to have a partisan pissing contest, Democrats hold zero moral high ground when it comes to hypocrisy, partisanship and political expediency.
