Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

LOL. Maybe I didn't say it right. It's how Masons greet or identify each other.

Yeah. Didn't say it right. The other person is supposed to response about the west. It's from ancient Egypt.

So, there is no networking done. This is hard to believe that this group does not support each other’s business ventures. I always thought the Mason’s did.

They do. And they also have a lot of connection with the bankers.

No laptops or cell phones during meetings.
But outside, they sometimes help each other out...

They also do a lot of charity work and community work which is at the heart of the organization which fosters networking. I have friends that are Masons. It’s a good organization, like the Order of the Eternal Buffalo.

Not as much as you think. It's mostly business owners and upper management guys.

Yes, it was, they are a very loyal bunch to each other. I wanted to be a Rainbow girl when I grew up. I received an invitation, but I was Catholic, so my mother would not allow it.

At least your parents weren't JWs.

Yes, they do a lot of charitable work, just as the Moose, Odd Fellows, Elks, etc. I am a Mason, my father was a Master.

Interesting you would bring that up. Some churches will not allow a Mason to be a member.

ETA; The Rainbow girls, not as popular as they once were, is also a good organization.

My father was an Elk and Knight of Columbus. My brother thinks they’re secret organizations trying to secretly rule the world. I sometimes wonder how he holds down a job, but it’s because he’s very good at managing construction jobs.
