Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

The mayor and the governor finally called out the Illinois National Guard on Sunday to protect downtown, but by then it was too late. Downtown had already been smashed. They’d been caught unprepared for what came at them. Even after Mayor Lori Lightfoot ordered a 9 p.m. curfew, looting continued. They raged up and down Roosevelt Road on Saturday night and in other parts of the city.

I’d been standing on broken glass outside Brindille, the Michelin star restaurant co-owned by Carrie Nahabedian in the 500 block of North Clark Street. Her beautiful custom-made window had been shattered by a fire extinguisher. The looters left the tablecloths on the tables. But they also left something else for her:

    Despair.

“I just broke down,” Nahabedian told me. “I was sickened by what happened to Mr. Floyd, who wasn’t? But then Brindille is attacked? I know it’s just property and just a building and just a restaurant. Thank God nobody was hurt. But it’s our restaurant, it’s my dream, and all the love and care we put into it, and they destroyed it because they could. It’s personal, an attack on everything we stand for.”

Soon we’ll all be overwhelmed with political spin about who’s at fault and why. As I write this, the
progressive Democrats who run Chicago, Cook County and Illinois look shaken, and engage in virtue signaling at a news conference; liberals mugged by reality.

On the other hand my Grandma Crozier, who was very smart and a super curious person so she keep educating herself on different things, told me in 1977 that it was already then hopeless, that the quality of the people had declined too much to avoid disaster.

I am waiting for the penny to drop, for people to understand how low quality they and most of their peers are. They are going to find out that they have been lied to all of their lives, they are going to find out that number of years spent in a classroom does not measure an education, in fact now that education systems have been purposefully wrecked pre-K to Post Doc classroom time is generally a negative. Being great at TikTok does not help either.

The level of ignorance in this society is shocking, as is the low moral character.

Oh, and don't blame Harris for the recorded image....that's how it happened, and there's really nothing you can do about America's history regarding the treatment of black folk "conjuring" up the relationship.
Calling attention to it in the manner she did takes political advantage of the image.

It’s an ugly image but that image wasn’t the reality in this case. The horsemen weren’t slave owners, the Haitians aren’t slaves and the horsemen were using their split reins to drive their horses.

Instead of the NAACP asking to meet with Biden over it maybe PETA should.

“With basic knowledge and two brain cells, anyone knows those agents use split reins. They do use them as a whip, on their horses," the agent said. "This helps get a quicker response from the horse to move out when needed, especially when the horse may be hesitant with groups of people or other animals."

"Again it is clear that those ‘in charge,’ a term that is disgusting to use, have no clue about our operations and frankly operate by ignorance and unhinged emotions," the agent said.

That was in response to Harris’s lame attempt to deflect from the humanitarian crisis in Del Rio by displaying her ignorance about horse reins.

    Sort of sums it up.
Anyone who has to whip their work horse in order to get a 'quick reaction' should not be on a horse.

I don't recall anyone getting shot, gassed, shot or roughed up.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me of the natural disasters. Stupid me forgot about those. Damn, the Haitians just can't catch a break!

the BLM/ANTIFA riots last year were pretty easy on by the cops -
with the exception of Portland where they tried to fry the cops like bacon in a building

Other then that what i recall is cops standing around and not making arrests
I saw a lot of broken glass and shops looted -no cops

Or Harris bailing them out of jail thru some twisted org
Then most of the fed charges were dropped by Bidens DoJ

seems like a free ride to me.
Just a point: BLM and Anti-Fa are NOT in league with each other and have never made any public collusions. Anti-Fa has been tagged by cops as infiltrators of BLM protests/demonstrations...and the said riots and such attributed to outside antagonists. Don't take my word for it, look it up.

Oh, and I'd like to see some documentation to shore up your recollections. Thanks.

    1. So she DID NOT make the analogy as you previously stated. Why can't you just admit that instead of trying to insert your personal interpretation as fact?

    2. Stating moot points doesn't change the FACT that you have historical renditions and records depicting the treatment of black slaves in America and Europe. And while the officer was NOT using the reign on the immigrants, the use of horses to "corral" refugees isn't exactly cool (oh well, at least they weren't using attack dogs).

    3. Your last sentence is a-typical of the garbage one would find on Storm Front.

Look, if its that difficult for you to say, "you're right on this point" and leave it at that, then just don't post at all...this back handed BS of yours is just more evidence of your right wing wonk position. Jeez!
