Huck Finn has been in the crosshairs I believe for awhile and a couple of (progressive) New Jersey lawmakers tried to ban it last year claiming the use of the n*word in it was harmful to the black community.

It is almost as if the Republicans did not even open the books, and just banned all books with non-whites on the cover. Just saying.

I doubt the veracity of this ... teachers plural ... lesson plans ... After all, xinn is telling this

Yeah, they have been after Huck Finn for a long time. Funny that they think that single word can harm the black community, but discussing actual historical racism should be banned from schools.
