Immigrants who are allowed to stay in the U.S. to claim asylum are given tests when they are transferred to ICE, Health and Human Services or non-governmental organizations. Deportees who are scheduled to be put on planes out of the U.S. are tested for Covid and other infectious diseases by ICE.

Migrants are not tested for Covid in Border Patrol custody unless they show symptoms, but all are tested when they leave Border Patrol custody, according to DHS officials. How would CBP know once they left their custody? For example, the city of Laredo no longer tests illegals released from CBP custody before they are bussed or flown elsewhere.

Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz, a Democrat, revealed Wednesday that the migrants are no longer being tested for COVID before being bused out.
Previously, migrants were tested for the virus in Laredo immediately after being released by border agents. Under the new agreement, the city is no longer required to test them.

So, illegals are often not being tested for Chinese Disease at all, in CBP custody or afterwards. ICE, like CBP, is only testing if a person is symptomatic or showing signs of being infected. They don't have the capacity to test every illegal in their custody. The same is true for most other infectious diseases. There are simply too many illegals flooding into the US currently to do what needs to be done. Hell, CBP can't even arrest and process all of them.



In one spot in Texas, thousands of illegals wait under a bridge for processing without CBP control. The number is surging towards 10,000+ there by some estimates...

I read your entire post, and you are wrong. Most illegals right now leave federal custody without being tested, and testing after that is spotty at best. Most illegals aren't being tested at all, just released into society.
