I don't think it's as much a case of the Joke Biden administration opposing alternatives as it is one of their whole response to date being one huge improvisation that has resulted in a completely ineffective and incompetent set of outcomes. More and more, particularly as things go downhill and wrong with their Chinese Disease response and outcomes, the Joke administration is resorting to authoritarian and draconian methods to try and get it under control. I think this Biden quote shows this very clearly.

The Joke administration and Biden himself aren't going to consider any alternatives to centralized authoritarian, top-down, one-size-fits-all 'solutions' to the pandemic. So far, Joke has also ignored--virtually entirely--the super spreader event that has been ongoing with his disastrous handling of illegal immigration and the border as a potential cause for the surge in cases in the US.
It's clear that neither Biden nor his Minions of Ignorance have any sort of coherent plan in place to deal with any of this. Instead, they're making it up as they go based more on what's politically expedient and popular than on sound science. An example of this is demanding even those with natural immunity--better than getting the vaccine--still get the vaccine. This goes against the science, well except maybe the political science that retards like that quack Fauci spews...
