We need George Will's vote to keep the Jordans Greens and Gaetz's away from power.

If conservatives were smart, they'd hold their noses and vote for liberals temporarily because the only way the idiot
base can be killed off is by consistent resounding defeat. One or two cycles will not do it.

They need to be brought to heel, made to beg forgiveness and made sane. Then the sane
conservatives can reassume some power. Until then, Will is right, and orphans never rule anything.

I guess that Evan McMullin idea back in February for a break away conservative party never got off the ground. They must have gotten gun shy about it after they realized it simply splits the Conservative vote and hands elections to Democrats.

Will puts it well, as he puts everything, explaining how Republicans have given up conservatism for the personality of a ring master, but it’s old hat. Republican voters have long belonged to Trump whose ego driven politics are the antithesis of conservative ideas and principles. What Trump is doing now, for example, in calling the California recall election rigged before it happens. Never mind that the governor is leading outside the margin of error in every poll. If our elections can’t be trusted the whole system is imperiled. What could be less conservative than undermining the foundation of the republic?
