Those types of value judgments are made by religious people who use their scriptures to make value judgments.

    Ridiculous.

Poverty is caused by losing the birth lottery. Impoverished parents are simply not well suited to providing an upbringing which instills confidence.

Here is the number one cause of poverty:

Children destined to be successful are told during childhood that they can do anything they want to if they simply apply themselves.

Children destined to a life of poverty are told they are worthless and will never amount to anything, so there is no point in trying.

    That is the main difference.
Nonsense. There are those that rise above poverty by applying themselves either academically or through hard work. The number one cause of poverty is being stupid. If parents tell their children they're worthless and will never amount to anything, then those parents are stupid. If kids grow up in a home where there isn't a single book to be seen, that's stupid in action. If the parents can't even balance their checkbook (assuming they have one), that's stupid.

I feel sorry for those kids. They are being proverbially screwed by their stupid parents. If your kid asks a question about something STEM for example the answer shouldn't be "I don't know," but rather "Let's find out!" If parents are too lazy or stupid to be involved in their kid's development then they are just breeding another generation of stupid into the Idiocracy.

It's not the kid's fault, it the parents, and often their teacher's fault.

    1. I am not a righty
    2. I just listed some of the programs to care for children that existed before Roe as requested by the poster.
    3. Why did you assume listing programs was defending them?

Rightys vote to fund all those programs and increase their funding annually. Once a program is established not many politicians are going to vote against them. Both Dem and Rep presidents continue to include them in the budget.
