Actually, if you're going to commit suicide, you're most likely to do it with a gun.

And if you don't have a gun, the second most likely means is by drug overdose.

Suicide by hanging would fall under "suffocation", which is third...but that also includes things like sticking your head in the oven, filling your garage with exhaust, or tying a plastic bag around your head after taking a bottle of sleeping pills.

Also, suicide by hangings aren't nearly as successful as sucides by gun.

What I was pointing out was the absurdity of saying because you own a gun you might use it to commit suicide and therefore the government must take your gun away from you. That was the gist of your original position. The absurdity of that is it can be applied to anything else you might do harm to yourself with and therefore makes an extremely poor and irrational argument for gun control.

Well look, I mean, you said earlier that many of these people are "morons", and frankly, I don't see the logic in making it simple and easy for "morons" to access weapons of mass murder.

Seems like you'd want the opposite; that you'd want to make it harder to get a gun so that only the best people can get one.

Accidental shootings of yourself are very rare and usually not fatal. Suicide by firearm generally is. Therefore, the later is implied. But it really doesn't matter since the proposition as given is a logical fallacy.
