That was my first thought, but then I had to be tested because I am my Mom's primary care person, and I took the same test and proved negative. The hospital tested her daily for two weeks until she tested negative again. This was one of those hospitals that don't let relatives in to visit Covid patients. So a nurse was assigned to her, and either she called me, or I called her every day, and we talked about her progress and essential vital signs every day until she was Covid Free and released back to my care.

She is back to her normal health again which is very good for her age. She does have some signs that her Blood pressure is higher than normal, but that has been her norm for years. Other than that, she has had early signs of dementia for a year now, and that seems to have progressed somewhat during her Covid illness, but is back to what was considered normal for her now again that she has recovered from the Covid. The nurse advised me that Covid does affect dementia patients in this manor by increasing it.

There is so much talk floating about the long term effects of the vaccines- ALTHOUGH THERE IS NOTHING TO REPORT IN MOST PEOPLE SO FAR, THERE IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH TALK ANOUT THE EVIDENCE THAT suggests EXPERIENCING COVID DOES HAVE SOME Re-occurring heath issues that tends to trend and even progress with many patients over time. For example, experiencing pneumonia as a result of Covid, can do more damage in just days than a lifetime of smoking tobacco or drugs. That could end up being a huge detriment to one's health, longevity, and well being. SO it is never wise to risk being infected to Covid when there is a vaccine available with the efficacy rate these vaccines have in preventing it altogether.

The thing is, it is always better to be safe than sorry, so the vaccines is certainly the best way to go.
