Congress members can visit the border at any time because they appropriate funds for border security so they *have a responsibility* for oversight. How is this jail any different?

Since it’s so obvious what’s going on here I’ll spell it out. Pelosi May or May not know if these prisoners are being deprived of their constitutional rights. In either case, her move is to do nothing. Obviously, if she knows things are going on that shouldn’t be, that must remain hidden at least until the 1/6 investigation is over.

By the same token, if she doesn’t know if the rumors are true, she can’t take the risk that they are true or it will take away from the all important [politically] investigation if it is exposed.

Even the ACLU won’t budge her.
Pelosi is not the chain of command for any prison in the country

    you're desperate

There are strict visiting rules…. Gaetz needs to get used to how it works in the inside!

Yep. And if they want to take a look inside, all they need to do is ask for permission and authorization.

The TV show "Jail" does it all the time. No problem.

Well they either thought they were special or they did it intentionally to get a story about how unfairly they are treated.

    It's the latter for sure.

I’ve already answered it once: Congress has over sight authority. Even if the jail personnel had authority to lock the doors in the face of Gaetz, what is Congress [Pelosi, specifically since she’s over the House] waiting on? Schedule the appointment so the jail personnel would be able to ‘tidy things up in advance’ or whatever.

    The ACLU is demanding action.

You have yet to show how they have the right to enter a jail at any time. Show it in the Constitution. Or law. Anything.

So contact your Congressperson and ask them to demand actions.

    The ACLU is demanding action.
    Naturally.

BTW, why didn't they go during visiting hours?

This story does one thing. It warms my heart that they are in jail.

A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

The prison did not want to be part of a right-wing photo op. There were not there to solve any problems. They are 3 seriously deranged Trumpys.
