The pandemic is coming back on. (We failed to get enough of us vaccinated.)

The CDC responded by issuing more aggressive guidelines.

Republicans refuse to 'get it' that things have changed. They are pretending it's the same old Corona, and the CDC is just changing it's mind willy nilly.

Republicans are pandering to anti social people whose only concern is themselves. We can't beat a pandemic with that kind of thinking. We have to have a coordinated response. We have to be united. This isn't political. It's virology. We have to stop this thing from spreading. We need everyone to get vaccinated. Take the risk, like the rest of us did. Do it for your country, like we did. We need you now.

Sure, we don't know if there might be some unknown future side effects, but we do know if we get everyone vaccinated, we can beat Corona. Many of us held out. We wanted to see if there were any problems with the vaccines. Essentially there are none. It's safe. Almost nobody has died after getting the vaccine. 99% of deaths now are unvaccinated.

It's time to do the patriotic thing. Get the vaccine.

And nobody likes that we have to go back to masking. But that's what we have to do. Things have changed. We are losing the battle again. Maybe we dropped the precautions too soon before. Maybe if everyone had gotten the vaccine as soon as they could this wouldn't be happening. The Delta variant has changed things. We need to respond. We can't just ostrich our way out of this.

Be a good American. Get the vaccine. Wear a mask.

Like the rest of us who want this pandemic done and gone.

This is a war of ideas. The ones who tried to make it violent have mostly been locked up and are awaiting trial.

We have to win over hearts and minds.

The war of ideas doesn't have to be all mean and ugly. There are plenty of voices who try to insult and threaten people into seeing things their way. That appears to do nothing more than harden their resolve. That approach is well covered.

That leaves me free to try to appeal to the thinking civil minds with reason.

There is no one approach that is going to work in all cases. Neither the right nor left is comprised of all the same exact type of mindset. These people who think the right are all the same? Or the left are all the same? They can dream on, if they think the world is that simple.

So basically, your way works for you; my way works for me.

LOL, they think these infrastructure bills are some kind of radical agenda. Almost every proposal is wildly popular with the American people. Biden is a moderate. He is also a master politician. An infrastructure bill? I remember when Trump got one passed. Too funny.

Trump talked about doing that. Biden is getting it done.

Trump talked about doing a lot of things, followed through on little.

Trump was a poser. Completely unknowledgeable of how government functions. Virtually unable to lead. Didn't understand how to get something through Congress, get something from the idea phase to actual legislation. We could hardly have had a more inappropriate person in the job.

After Trump won, he visited President Obama at the WH. Obama said he was amazed at how little Trump knew about the job he was entering. Literally had to tell him everything he was going to be responsible for. I'm sure most of it was rejected out of hand.
