A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Evading what responsibility? I simply asked you to provide me one of his posts to prove your assertion about him. That's it.

Some were armed. One was charged for having a gun.

I did not say that it was, but the only sentence I quoted is what I found relevant to what I said.

one was charged, but that person was also NEVER in the building, if you'll remember. so, nobody was really armed for an actual insurrection

Article III, Section 3, Clause 1:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

    Yeah that makes a difference.

And yes many were armed. It's astounding that you deny that reality.

dude, flagpoles and baseball bats are no match for guns.........knowing that the capitol police had guns and they still went with no guns, plus the idiotic thought that the cops would be on their side? it was doomed from the start and can hardly be called insurrection. that's the reality

Always find it entertaining when another attempts to break down the events of January 6th into a semantical debate as if any of that hides or lessens the realities of that day

Bottom line, a group of supporters of one particular politician attacked the US Capitol, the very seat of the Americas' democracy, with the intent of halting the Congress from executing their assigned Constitutional duties. In their attack they vandalized the Capitol, injured 140 Capitol police, and endangered members of Congress to include the Vice President of the United States. It wasn't a protest that had gotten out of control, just a riot, and hardly a "lovefest," one wonders what would have happened if the attackers had gotten their hands on certain members or leaders of Congress

Seeing nothing close to it occurred in US History since the War of 1812, it deserves full examination

this is the hyperbole I talk about when you make these claims. The capitol building is not the very seat of Americas democratic institution. That resides in the 50 states. WE created the federal government with our democracy, not the other way around.
