Default Pelosi slaps down McCarthy's 2d desperate attempt to seat Banks and Gym Jordan

The House on Monday defeated an effort by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to seat his preferred members for the select committee dedicated to investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The mostly party-line vote of 218-197 comes a day before the panel's first hearing with four police officers who will testify about their experiences defending the Capitol from the violent mob of former President Trump's supporters.

McCarthy is protesting Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) refusal to seat two of the Republicans he named to the panel - Reps. Jim Banks (Ind.) and Jim Jordan (Ohio) - over their attempts to cast doubt on the last year's election results and the Jan. 6 investigation, as well as their particularly close ties to Trump.

The two-page resolution offered by McCarthy formally "condemns the refusal" of Pelosi to seat all five of his chosen members to the select committee and urges her to do so.

Banks and Jordan are quintessential Middle American geeks.
What would they do on a serious committee?

If we needed somebody to sit on the porch at Cracker Barrel and whittle while drinking Dr. Pepper
and picking ticks off the mongrel mutt that's begging for Doritos, fine--
those are two of the best for that.

But Nancy wants serious people on an important investigative committee--not devolved trumpanzees.

The fear the RepubliQans are showing over investigation going forward is speaking volumes.

There must REALLY be some bad shit that's gonna be exposed. The RepubliQans have never looked so weak. That's what happens when you hitch your wagon to a loser.
    Republican Congressman Ken Buck:
“We’re at a time in American politics, that I am not going to lie on behalf of my presidential candidate, on behalf of my party. And I’m very sad that others in my party have taken the position that, as long as we get the White House, it doesn’t really matter what we say,”

Both of these jerkwads have kissed Trumps ring and fat ass while proliferating the big lie and refusing to accept the election results. There are no words for the huge balls and small brain on McCarthy to expect to be taken seriously with these picks as part of any committee.
    BLUEXIT
A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

McCarthy could be called to testify.
