Democrats have urged Republican governors including Ron DeSantis to resume COVID-19 reporting.

Several states had scaled back their reporting of COVID-19 statistics this month just as cases across the country started to skyrocket, depriving the public of real-time information on outbreaks, cases, hospitalizations and deaths in their communities.

The shift to weekly instead of daily reporting in Florida, Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota - all led by Republican governors - marked a notable shift during the pandemic.

In Florida's last two weekly reports, the number of new cases shot up from 23,000 to 45,000 and then 73,000 on Friday, an average of more than 10,000 day. Hospitals are starting to run out of space in parts of the state.

With cases rising, Democrats and other critics have urged state officials and Gov. Ron DeSantis to resume daily outbreak updates.

In Nebraska, the state actually stopped reporting on the virus altogether for two weeks after Gov. Pete Ricketts declared an end to the official virus emergency.

BTW medical staff are quitting in droves, they have been betrayed most of all by the medical system leadership, and government.....lots of them say no way...we are on our own.

Actual Dr's tried it was the politicians that lied and covered it up.

I gladly took the vaccine. I have one of those jobs that people screamed about if it was closed.

My family is 100% vaccinated and thankfully, because next week we will be in one of those red states where the cult ignores the science.

Moreover, you complain about being lied to. Look at Iowa, Florida, and Nebraska. Denying information because pretending everything is normal is easier than facing reality.

The entire pandemic has exposed the worst about our politics and politicians.

No, my point is to check out the the CDC contradictory statements yourself. And let's not forget that the PRC test was NOT designed to detect viral infections...which is why you have all these false positives and negatives. The man who invented the test, Dr. Kary Mullis spent years telling anyone who would listen that Fauci didn't know what the hell he was talking about (then about HIV=AIDS and now) regarding his test and what it's used for.

this is the only "epidemic" or "pandemic" I know of where there has been NO instructions from the powers that be as to how to treat yourself when symptoms first show up with vitamins or supplements or OTC. Nope, just go stay at home until you either get better or worse. If the latter, take the test, get hospitalized, and then disappear while the hospital experiments on treatment until you go to the ICU and either come out or don't come out. Unreal.

Wrong. Check out the current news, where the hand wringing and BS machine are in overdrive because of the cased of VACCINATED folks coming down with Covid or being tested as "positive"
