The region, like most regions, is complicated. China rests on North Korea because it counteracts the American presence in South Korea. Generally, Koreans distrust Japanese people because of what they did to us last century. In the end, North Korea is just going to have to fail. China will sustain it for as long as possible, but it's not even a real country. It's a space of earth where miserable humans try to survive until the next sunrise.

Yeah. I have always known that NK is a buffer zone. But USSR is gone and what does China need NK for? It makes no sense.

    A bicycle is virtue signaling.

The first vehicle most children learned how to operate is virtue signaling.

The ability to not be as fucking fat and worthless as you are so as to be able to operate a bicycle is virtue signaling.

You're a fucking waste of air and space. Kill yourself immediately, please.

Tying up traffic even further in a hopelessly congested city so you can bicycle to work in nice weather is virtue signaling.

This sort of thing is detailed all over the web. Educate yourself. Read.

The type of bicycle commuter that does it because she wants to, usually for health and environmental reasons, is usually wealthy and white. According to Bratman and Jadhav, "automobility remains a paradoxical cultural and status symbol, such that wealthier people increasingly reduce their car dependency." And though there are plenty of minorities and immigrants who ride bikes, people who ride by choice get the most attention and yes, the most funding for bicycle infrastructure. "Biking has come to symbolize white re-population. In Portland, people of color called the bike lanes the "white stripes of gentrification," says Plurale Tantum.

It's pretty humorous that riding bikes would be "virtue signaling" to them.

They're not N. Koreans. Their uniforms are US woodland pattern ones with some N. Korean sort of insignia. Then, their haircuts are not N. Korean. Yes, N. Korea has approved hair styles.

Sunglasses? Big no no for a Nork in the military...

It's a parody or whatever but they aren't Norks.

If it wasn't they would be doing it year round and wouldn't be inconveniencing minorities who do not live directly across the bridge.

Next time you're in NYC stand at the bridge and watch who comes over on the bike lanes.

So you are saying that the minorities wouldn't do it due to their "virtual signaling" about cycling?

Um they are outside of North Korea.

Have you even seen a Arirang mass game? It's incomprehensible but yet it's so beautiful.

    Sorry I'm drinking.
Hahaha, I have. I'm drinking too. I have to fly to Albuquerque in the morning and don't feel like packing. Laundry is coming along nicely though.

I am saying the poorer minority communities do not live directly over the bridges to Manhattan and the bike lanes used only a few months a year add time to their commutes.

I think they do it of spite to be honest. There is no good reason to give North Korea anything it needs except a humanitarian crisis that can be eliminated pretty quickly.
