Trump again has praised "the great people" who made that "peaceful" march to The Capitol on Jan 6. It is like referencing the "peaceful" flight of the Japanese Aircraft on their way across the Pacific to Pearl Harbor until they got there. He does not ever mention that the stated mission of the marchers was to enter the Senate chamber and intimidate the Senators into withholding their (symbolic) confirmation of Biden's election, or the following: 1) Admission of outsiders to the chamber is by visitor pass only. 2) The Senate was in closed session with no passes available - as if Trump’s mob had any intention of getting passes. 3) There were many hundreds of marchers more than the 150 person or so capacity of the gallery. 4) The Capitol building was closed entirely and locked. 5) The building was guarded to keep people out by law officers. Only by mayhem could the mission be attempted, so mayhem there was with more than 140 persons injured. More than 50 of these "great people" are currently under arrest for carrying deadly or dangerous weapons and many more have been arrested on other charges.
But Trump is undeterred and his supporters echo his absurd misstatements. It will be interesting to see how this plays if he runs again and the country is treated to graphic video reminders of that "peaceful" day.

Figured the post would get some kind of Trump defense from said supporters. None?

This is on tape, and excerpted in the authors' new book about #TRE45ON. More evidence that the #MaliciousMango is delusional.
"What was Trump’s goal on January 6? What did he hope his supporters would do after he told them to march on the Capitol?
"He chose to remark again on the size of the crowd. “I would venture to say I think it was the largest crowd I had ever spoken [to] before,” Trump said. “It was a loving crowd, too, by the way. There was a lot of love. I’ve heard that from everybody. Many, many people have told me that was a loving crowd. It was too bad, it was too bad that they did that.”
"Pressed again, Trump said he had hoped his supporters would show up outside the Capitol but not enter the building. “In all fairness, the Capitol Police were ushering people in,” Trump said. “The Capitol Police were very friendly. They were hugging and kissing. You don’t see that. There’s plenty of tape on that.”"

Can't wait till all those FBI guys get arrested for opening the doors and inviting people inside. They've been pros at this for a lonnng time.
