Had a trip/vacation planned for DC in October, but canceled it because I think certain states and cities are going to go back into lockdown and all the attractions in DC will be closed again.

This is why breakthrough infections are more likely. If you're vaccinated, you might get a mild case, but you won't be hospitalized and you won't die. And on the plus side, you might inadvertently infect some of those lying sacks of shit who are out and about without masks despite not being vaccinated. No loss.

I posted this in another thread, but it's worth repeating. I did the same with a pool party my sister-in-law was holding. Since the family is mostly Trumpers, I asked before attending. Her Uncle is married to a nurse, so we were assured they had both been vaxed, and as a sane person, the host was asking everyone else as well. They all claimed to be vaccinated. They lied. To their own family members. Now one is hospitalized and five are sick. We just found out this morning. And we found out third hand. Gutless liars, selfish assholes. They won't even stand on their own convictions. I don't think she'll ever speak to those people again. The irony is that the guy with the Trump 2024 hat is the one in the hospital. That day he called RBG a 'cunt' and said he was glad she was dead. Karma is a bitch.

That’s horrible, at least, my family is honest. There are still family members attending, but I choose not to go, not only for my own safety but others.
