That was no metaphor and it followed several speakers who urged violence. This was a Trump rally on which he selected the speakers. The pre-rally organizing pished anger and violence. Of course, scheduling a rally down the street at the same the politicians were counting the electoral vote was no cosmic accident. What happened went according to plan.
You are doing a very poor job of covering the aim of the Trump insurrection because you have nothing to cover it with. It was all done in public or online .
All those emails that Trump sent will come out in public, so your covering up will be even harder.

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

That explains why many of his criminal colleagues have refused to testify against him. It's the mafia code of silence.

That is part of what would make it such a statement. And before he goes he would talk about how he is not going to participate in a Soviet style kanagaroo court, and how the Swamp has to go.
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

The men who wrote The Constitution are not to be confused with later generations of party politicians - there were no parties in 1787 (a reason why the purpose of the Electoral College, as in preventing an unlearned and impetuous person and opportunist like Trump from becoming President, was misconceived). Madison, who led the drafting was one of the most brilliant lawyers in the colonies and the others who participated were highly able as well. The faults are substantive - e.g., enabling the permanency of slavery and gun possession, no voting protections for women, giving citizens in smaller states greater voting power than that given citizens in large states in Presidential elections - in some cases unavoidable compromises made between the delegates to get the document approved. Before casting judgment consider the reputation of The Constitution. It gained international respect, becoming a model for other national constitutions. Among American legal scholars and at the bar there are criticisms, inevitably, but it is revered.

p.s. The Justice Department was established and made an agency under the President not by the Founders but by Congress. A violation of the Emoluments Clause would not be an issue for the Justice Department anyway.
