As always, the responsibility for our future is in our own hands, not those of some self-styled “strong” leader. It lies with the people who govern and serve us in public jobs, in the integrity and diligence of legislators and governors, with the laws and the judges who interpret them, and in leadership at the top that says to all of us that we are indeed one people — and if we want to save our democratic republic for another 245 years, we must work at it and be directed by the truth.

Trump neo-fascists are still among us. They never believed in democracy or the rule of law.
Joke is imaging a very different United States than the one the Founders started. In their view the future lay in the people of the nation to do what needed done and their integrity and diligence to get it done. Government was seen as nothing more than a tool of the nation to help things along. Without things would still get done.
Biden makes government out to be the central force in America which it isn't and never was supposed to be. We can look at other nations with a strong central government and see how much more poorly they do whatever it is they do. If we want our Republic to survive we need to put government on a very short leash.

To all the deniers that Jan. 6th was an insurrection..... you have ZERO right to be celebrating July 4th.
That is all....

A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."
