When you claim that what Trump did for COVID was "mostly good," you're going to get people who refute that. And not because of "but Trump." They're going to refute it because it isn't true. He was an absolutely abysmal pandemic President, by any gauge or measure.

Yep the CDC controls the tests and the FDA controls the tests. They released tests that had bad reagents and that costs valuable time. The FDA has requirements on authorizing which labs can preform test. Those regulations a stringent and time consuming to pass. So that too slowed testing.

And the tests turned out to be junk but they always refuse to acknowledge that part. Testing was over rated anyway because they can’t seem to decide how big a factor asymptomatic spread was. And people who were symptomatic were self quarantined anyway. Never mind that they ended up spreading to their family members when they should have spent more time outside getting vitamin D and sunlight.

It’s like you said: you can sit here and poke holes into the Trump virus narrative all day and it’s like talking to the wall.
