Trump was apparently FURIOUS about the fact that coronavirus testing was making 'his numbers' look bad. He wasn't concerned about how lack of testing would kill even more Americans, he was concerned only with how it made HIM look.

The idiot he was referring to was, of course, his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has drawn Trumps wrath for allowing Covid testing and pushing prison reform (Trump said it made him look week).
