Blacks at the upper end of the scale are incredibly driven, and work hard to do better. Whites midway on the scale just expect everything to work out for them, and are incredibly lazy.

Blacks from Africa who have immigrated to the US and the UK have been doing better than white from America or the UK. Immigrants often put in the effort to do better. There are also many Blacks who are smarter than many whites, so there is no way that "blacks have lower cognitive ability than others." Maybe on average, but given the immigrant situation that looks highly doubtful.

All I know is that the straight GPA is how it was done back in the days when we went to school in caves ... and yeah the girl that got the second spot took the easiest courses possible (the valdectorian flunked out of college the first semester). So even though it comes across as being unfair ... that's how the system works.
It is disgusting that race was brought into the conversation ... but that's the way it is today.
