Default Texas: Need ID To Vote, No ID to Carry Gun in Public

typical republican bullshit- they believe without photo id's people, mostly illegals, will just show up at voting sites and start voting, no check of if they are registered voters, where they live, what their name is, no check to see if they have already voted, and there are more than 10 people crazy enough to risk possible jail time to vote if they are not even registered!! and stopping those 10 people from voting is worth all the bullshit hassle.

but having an ID to buy a gun, or lots of guns, and lots of ammo, and walk around in public is just not very important- what is the worst that could happen?

4 days ago — Texans can carry handguns without a license or training starting Sept. 1, after Gov. Greg Abbott signs permitless carry bill into law ... to carry handguns if they're not prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a gun.

maybe there is a very low risk of people carrying other people's guns around.........and even if they did, it doesn't have an impact on who runs the country.......

Purchasing a firearm would still require identification. Purchasing ammunition might in Texas, it isn't required in Arizona though. That Texas is catching up with Arizona where it's already legal to openly carry without ID or a permit, and concealed carry is the same but training is recommended. That hasn't turned Arizona into say Chicago where it's totally illegal to carry a firearm in public in any fashion but murders and shootings are out of sight high...

So what? You don't want minorities to have the same rights as whites?

nope...the good old private seller/gun show loophole. no ID required. no background check. as long as you claim to be a private seller/buyer you can pay cash and leave no trail and never show ID.

that is not the argument, stupid fuck. old people who never drive, whose birth records are long gone, do not have drivers licenses, and it would be hard for them to get one. it is hard enough for them to get up and take a dump, much less walk down somewhere to get a photo id just so they can vote. poor kids of all races from urban areas may never have gotten a drivers license, there was mass transit, they could not afford a car or insurance. it is not just blacks the repubs want to stop from voting, but the poor, college kids not at home, the sick and the aged. fuck them and fuck those who are against making voting as easy as possible, not some kind of endurance test. we voted without any photo id in this country for about a hundred years and nobody bitched like little butthurt punks. and all the investigations into voter fraud where photo id could have stopped even one bad vote show maybe 20 total over the last few years and you little assholes are crying?
