I remember back in the 60's, on friday nights a local movie house would show movies for stoners and hippies, etc., and one of the cartoons they showed was an old Betty Boop from the 20's or 30's...and they had a wolf dressed up like a black pimp, speaking jive, using phrases we were just now hearing again, and they were high fiving each other and all kinds of "african-american" gestures and slang we thought had just been created.

appreciating certain differences between races and ethnic groups and nationalities is not racist, it is just the opposite.
